It is not a new casting process, it is an melt preparation HPDC process
Type of alloy | Kg CO2 per kg of alloy |
---|---|
Primary alloys, coal based | 18-19 kg |
Primary alloy, hydro power based | 4,6 kg |
Secondary eutectic HPDC alloy | 0,8-1,0 kg |
Secondary Rheocasting alloy | 0,14-0,47 kg |
Design a lighter part with a more competent alloy
Using Rheocasting in combination with alloys that have higher mechanical properties enables lightweight designs that saves CO2, material and cost. Alloys with higher thermal conductivity are also possible to cast which enables lightweight design that saves CO2 material and cost.
